Finally, WP Subdomains 0.5.1 done, release tomorrow

At last, it took the Christmas holiday period to find the time but I’ve finally got WP Subdomains 0.5.1 into a form that i can release.

I’ve just stuck it on this site for a quick 24 hour test, and should there be no problems discovered I will release it tomorrow.

A number of important bug fixes are in it:

  • Theme selector works with WordPress 2.7
  • Subdomain Pages work for people using single level permalinks (e.g. /postname and /?p=123)
  • Sub pages for Tied and Subdomained pages follow their parents

New features are few but should improve it slightly:

  • Much better configuration/settings page. Still more improvement to come
  • Redirect old URLs to new subdomains
  • Override the “Only show tied pages” setting for certain pages, allowing them to be automatically linked to on all Subdomains. Useful if you want one about or contact page but want to limit other pages from appearing.

Fingers crossed this will be properly released tomorrow. If you’re really itching to get it you can download it from it’s bzr repository on launchpad.net. You can find more information on the launchpad project page.

I’ve just finished my work for the day and am about to head home, grab a nice cold beer and get it all ready to upload. Give me a couple of hours and it should be done.
