Could you give me a little more information on what you need in terms of site setup.
What categories do you need to be subdomains?
What is the address of the main wordpress site (http://articles.icmcc.org or http://www.icmcc.org)?
What currently happens when you try and set it up?
You can send the details to me directly using the contact page on this site - http://contact.casualgenius.com

Hi, I think I;'m running into the same problem. I tried with every setting of the permalinks, made all necessary changes to the .htaccess, but it boils down to this (permalinks are now day-and-name):
all sub-categories from domain-naming category go to subdomain/category/...., all other categories, tags and archives go to maindomain/category/..., maindomain/tag/... and maindomain/day-and-name/...
see http://articles.icmcc.org

No problem... :) We know how it works well, and thats all that matters. Everyone should use a setting that's different than the default one and it will all work just fine.

The database you sent me and the blog you gave me access to were definitely configured to use default setting. I switched them to day-and-name which made it work. That's when we found you needed to configure your .htaccess. If you want to check please switch back and let me know but I just tested your database again and it works fine in day-and-name permalink.

Alex, actually my permalink setup was not the default, it was the day-and-name choice (2nd, below the default).

So I'm thinking we're probably not yet at the solution of this potential-non-bug :)
